People with foreign nationality declaring Nawaz a traitor: Marriyum

October 3, 2020 05:05 PM

PML-N Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb on Saturday said those having foreign nationality were declaring Nawaz Sharif – the three-time prime minister – a traitor, adding that the current government had come into power after stealing the people’s votes.

At a press talk in Islamabad, Marriyum said the rented spokespersons had been unleased on the PML-N, as she blasted the government over its policies and targeting the opposition. Traitors is that person who violates the Constitution, she remarked.

It was Nawaz Sharif during whose tenures Indian prime ministers Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Narendra Modi visited Pakistan because the country was politically, economically and militarily strong at that time, she recalled.

But when the country had a selected prime minister imposed on the country after suspending the RTS, he opted to say that Modi’s victory in the Indian general elections would result in the resolution of Kashmir issue, Marriyum remarked. And Modi’s success was followed the sell-off on Kashmir, he added.

The PML-N spokesperson remarked that although her party did not issue traitor certificates, the question was who the traitor was when Modi was begged for attending his calls.

Marriyum noted that basic human rights were suspended in the country. In this connection, she condemned the suspension of 24NewsHD TV channel and said the fascist government was strangling media through illegal circulars of PEMRA.

“We had not banned freedom of expression. We had even shown the people-free sit-ins of Imran Khan,” she said, referring to the 24/7 coverage of sit-in staged by the PTI in 2014.

Flour, sugar and medicines have been stolen from the country, Marriyum said while discussing the unprecedented rise in the prices accompanied by their shortage in the market.
