PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja has ordered Pakistan Cricket Board staff to immediately cut down on their expenditures in order to make Pakistan cricket team number one, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In his message to the PCB employees he addressed recently, Ramiz Raja listed a string of steps to implement the austerity drive.
The newly-appointed chairman had addressed all the board employees from lower staff to the directors at the Imran Khan Enclosure of Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore two days ago.
He told them “Prime Minister Imran Khan has told me how he succeeded in lowering down the expenditure of the Prime Minister’s House. In order to cut down on PCB’s expenditures take one cup of tea instead of two, minimize the use of air-conditioner and switch off the lights when leaving office,” Ramiz told the staff.
He further said “We have to elevate the Pakistan team to the number one position and if cannot do that then have no excuse to stay at out positions.”
