JUI leader remains unhurt in road accident in Shikarpur

A vehicle carrying patron-in-chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Sindh Maulana Mujeebur Rehman Qureshi was met with an accident while crossing a police van at Amrot Stop on Sukkur-Larkana Road near Garhi Yaseen in Shikarpur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
During the accident Maulana Mujeebur Rehman Qureshi remained unhurt but driver of his vehicle was injured as his neck was broken.
Soon after receiving the report of the accident, local police reached the spot and shifted the injured driver to a local hospital for treatment.
Police sources said that they placed some hurdles on the road to restrict the movement of dacoits who tried to escape after committing robbery.
When police intercepted their vehicle they started firing on the police team and vehicle carrying Maulana Mujeebur Rehman Qureshi came under firing.
Later all the dacoits escaped from the scene.
Local police after registering a case started investigation.
