During the fiscal year 2023-24, the caretaker government took a lead in exports as during a 7-month period, interim bagged $6 billion more in exports compared to the previous period, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


Ministry of Commerce sources claim that during the 7 months of the monitoring period from August 2023 to February 2024, the exports touched $18.3 billion.  Besides the interim government period, FY2024 exports remained $12.35 billion. Owing to the interim government measures, the incumbent government achieved its FY 2024 export targets.


In FY 2024 exports, the share of the interim government remained 67.44 percent while the incumbent government’s share was 32.65 percent.


The Finance Ministry had set an export target of $30.30 billion for FY 2023-24 while the government achieved a record $30.690 billion. Finance Ministry officials confirm that Pakistan has achieved the export target set for the last fiscal year 2023-24.
