Female drug smuggler arrested at Islamabad airport

In a joint operation conducted by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and Airport Security Force (ASF) at Islamabad International Airport, a female drug smuggler was arrested while attempting to board a flight to Jeddah, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday.
The accused was found carrying 318 grams of heroin, concealed in 53 capsules inside her handbag.
A case has been registered against her under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and further investigation is underway.
The ANF spokesperson highlighted a concerning rise in the use of women and children for drug trafficking.
The ANF reaffirmed its commitment to fully addressing this issue and fulfilling its responsibilities in combating drug smuggling.
