FIA busts currency smuggler, seizes $95,000 in Karachi

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) State Bank Circle on Wednesday arrested accused Hamza Shahid near a private housing society in Karachi and recovered 95,000 US dollars from his possession, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
FIA sources said that the action was taken against the accused after receiving credible information that the accused was involved in establishing an illegal foreign currency exchange company that was being operated without a valid license. 
Sources further revealed that the arrested accused failed to satisfy FIA personnel regarding possession of foreign currency and is involved in smuggling of foreign currency.
The market value of seized currency in Pakistani currency is Rs2,60,00,000.
Further investigation against the accused person was underway.
