The PTI government has accused US Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu of hurling threats regarding the no-confidence motion, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Monday.
Threats were hurled on March 7 – a claim Washington rejected as baseless – and the secretary addressed an embassy event on March 16.

In his address to the virtual event, Donald Lu stressed the United States would increase cooperation with Pakistan for the development of Pakistani women.
A video message of Pakistan’s Surgeon General Lieutenant General Nigar Johar was broadcast while US Congresswoman Sheila Jackson and Pak Ambassador Dr Asad Majeed were among the speakers. The Pakistani Ambassador also thanked Donald Lou for addressing the function
The event raised a question; Why Donald Lu was invited if he hurled threats.
