Punjab govt okays free e-bikes for participants of Khailta Punjab Games

In order to promote sports in the province, Punjab government has initiated work on a scheme to provide free electric bikes (E-bikes) for the participants of Khailta Punjab Games.
According to sources, the Department of Sports Punjab has sent a summary to the Finance Department to allocate the required funds. A total of over 1,596 players took part in the games, and male and female athletes who reached the final round will be awarded the electric bikes.
The government estimates that Rs. 500 million will be needed for the purchase of the E-bikes. The initiative is part of the provincial government's broader vision to encourage youth participation in sports and promote eco-friendly transportation. This step reflects the Punjab government's commitment to youth empowerment and green initiatives under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
