“We want to fight poverty, inflation and unemployment.”
The PPP chairman urged the people of Hyderabad to vote for the PPP in the February 8 elections and ensure that his party secures all seats so that the part can deliver.
He rued the lack of positive contributions from any party to the city’s development in the past.
He added, “You have to block attempts of all those parties who are trying to come to power again and have no past performance.”
He said he has managed to tackle ‘Lion’ – the electoral symbol of PML-N.
He renewed pledge to construct 3 million houses for the underprivileged once in power. Bilawal assured the provision of 300 megawatts of free electricity through solar energy to benefit those in need. He promised the launch of Benazir Income Support Programme card for workers, youth card and interest free loan.
Thank you Hyderabad! The people will no longer allow the agents of old politics to divide them. The Pakistan Peoples Party is the only political party that stands for all Pakistanis, regardless of ethnicity, religion, caste, or belief. In his address to an election rally in Mirpur Khas yesterday, the PPP chairman came down hard on former premier Nawaz Sharif for contesting the general election to become prime minister for the fourth time even after failure to deliver in previous terms.
He warned against stealing his mandate, saying: “We will snatch the results from the election commission if my mandate is stolen.
“Jayala is not mummy daddy… Jiyala can fight the dictatorship. The dictatorships of Zia and Musharraf had been fought off.
“If the power-hungry becomes the prime minister for the fourth time, the economy will be destroyed. He is not a lion. He is a cat. We will tackle him."
