To flop the opposition parties’ move of bringing a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has prepared a plan to send his members on different foreign trips.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, about 45 to 50 Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) have been offered to visit some European and Arab countries this month.
The sources said that the speaker has formed eight groups of MNAs and sought their passports for the visa process.
Members will visit the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Belgium, Iraq, Turkey, Poland and Denmark, sources said adding that opposition members were also invited to be part of the delegation.
Anyhow, the Nawaz League has barred its members from participating in such foreign tours, the sources said.
The sources also said that the treasury members who are in doubt are also being made part of these foreign tours.
The sources said delegations will leave for Indonesia and the UK on March 14, for Iraq on March 8, for Turkey on March 7, Poland on March 25 and Denmark on March 29.
The sources further said that consultations are also underway on a plan to provide free Umrah to members of the Assembly.
