Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Tuesday issued orders to send jail the traders who would be involved in the stockpiling and price hiking of oxygen cylinder in the province.

The CM said that his government would not allow anyone to stockpile or overcharge oxygen cylinders in the province. He said they would take legal action against the violators of the law in this regard. He said that the Punjab government would use all necessary resources to deal with the third wave of coronavirus, adding that the number of ventilators and oxygen beds in the public hospitals was being increased.

Usman Buzdar further stated that the supply of oxygen cylinders at fixed rates must be ensured. He admired the services of health workers for the treatment of patients. He urged the people that they should follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and avoid leaving their homes unnecessarily.
