ECP decides to hold next general elections on new voter lists, delimitations

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Tuesday decided to hold the next general elections after preparing new voter lists and delimitations.

According to 24News HD TV Channel, the decision was taken by the Chief Election Commissioner in a meeting held in Islamabad.

During the meeting, the Election Commission was also given a briefing on the Daska Election Inquiry Report.

The meeting reviewed issues related to local government elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and directed the provincial government to provide a complete schedule for the elections.

The Commission also called an important meeting to decide the date of local body elections in KP on October 14.
