College student dies on stage delivering farewell speech, viral video shows

A 20-year-old girl tragically collapsed and passed away while delivering a speech during a farewell ceremony at her college in Maharashtra’s Dharashiv district. The student, Varsha Kharrat, was giving a cheerful address at R.G. Shinde College in Paranda when the incident occurred.

The heartbreaking moment was captured on camera and quickly went viral on social media. In the video, Varsha can be seen laughing and speaking to the audience just moments before she suddenly loses consciousness and falls to the ground.

Varsha was immediately rushed to the government hospital in Paranda, but doctors declared her dead on arrival. Initial reports reveal that Varsha had undergone heart surgery at the age of 8, but had experienced no health issues in the past 12 years and was not on any medication.

It is speculated that she may have suffered a sudden heart attack during her speech, leading to brain death and ultimately, her passing.

The college administration expressed profound sadness over the loss and announced a day off to honor Varsha’s memory.
