Four kite-sellers arrested in Gujranwala

Police in Gujranwala have arrested four kite suppliers and confiscated over 25,000 kites of different colors along with strings during a crackdown in the city, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday. 

According to the police, the apprehended dealers allegedly used to supply kites and strings via cars and passenger bus. Gul Badshah, Zaroli, Shahzad, and Muhammad Jasim were among the arrested suppliers.

It was also learnt that the suspects used KIA vehicles and passenger buses to supply kites and string bundles in different districts. 

The CCPO said that a strict action in accordance with the law will be taken against the kite sellers and buyers. 

In addition, he said that the district police's primary responsibility is to protect the lives of people, because kite flying is a deadly sport which can be fatal for the lives of innocent lives.
