PPP Chairman and foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that his party was not seeking any electoral alliance with any party.
In an interview with Voice of American (VOA), Bilawal Bhutto declared “We are contesting elections on our own,”
The PPP chairman also resolved to revamp the health sector, with plans to replicate successful models like NICVD, SIUT, and Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences nationwide.
When asked, Bilawal said that some parties were planning to support Nawaz Sharif if they won elections. He clarified that he was warning against Sharif’s alleged attempts to pressurise the administration to tamper with election results. “I want political stability,” he said and expressed that the administration would not take such steps.
When asked about the role of the establishment in the elections, he stressed the need for working on the democratic evolution of Pakistan.
“Politicians will need to take steps. Politicians should respect each other. If we don’t then we should not expect others to do it. Secondly, politicians should do politics under the limits of politics,” he said.
ہم کسی بھی سیاسی جماعت کے ساتھ انتخابی اتحاد نہیں کررہے، ہم اپنے بل بوتے اور اپنے منشور پر انتخابات لڑ رہے ہیں۔
