NAB renews resolve to continue the anti-corruption campaign

National Accountability Bureau Chairman Javed Iqbal presided over a meeting to review its performance on Wednesday.
Deputy Chairman Hussain Asghar, prosecutor general, DG operations, regional directors general joined the meetings that were among the attendees.
The meeting reviewed the overall performance and pending references. The moot renewed the bureau’s resolve to bring to book the fraudsters as soon as possible.
A total of 1,230 references are being processed in accountability courts across the country, the meeting told. The participants expressed their resolve to follow the state law in the light of solid evidence, authentic documents and statements of witnesses.
The NAB chairman directed his team to utilize all-out resources to bring to book the corrupt persons so that public money could be retrieved from the criminals and the curse could be purged out of the state.
He said the bureau has been doing its job well and it won acknowledgement by national and international level. The meeting mulled over measures to better the process of verification, inquiries and investigations.
