Mobile phone, internet services restored in Quetta

Authorities have restored the mobile phone and internet services in Quetta. 

Mobile and internet services were suspended in Quetta after the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) started protest in the city against alleged vote rigging in the by-election in the PB-45 Quetta 8 constituency of the Balochistan Assembly. 

Keeping in view the volatile security situation in the city, the interior ministry had sought suspension of the mobile phone and internet services in Quetta until January 7. 

Internet and mobile phone users suffered heavily due to suspension of services in the city.
