Suspected highwaymen stabbed a local trader and took away his car in Matiari town of Sindh, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.

According to local police, the accused unleashed the attack as the local traders came out of a restaurant. The robbers stabbed him when he attempted to save his car, the lawmen said. 

The incident, that took place when a good number of good number of people were present on the spot, invited ire among the local traders and businessmen.

The businesspersons and traders' community raised their concerns over the rise in robberies on road. They have threatened to go on a protest against surge in such crimes.
