The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) computerized all the police stations in Peshawar and the first-ever First Information Report (FIR) had been registered there on Saturday.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the police officials informed the media that a QR code would include in every FIR registered in the police station in Peshawar.

The police officials said that due to the facility of the QR code, the citizens could also check their FIR registered in the police station online with the code.

The police officials also mentioned that the computerized FIR would also be linked to the police management system so everyone would be able to check the FIR any time through the system.

As per the report, Peshawar was the first district in KP where an FIR had been computerized and the internet policing system would soon be extended to Mardan, Abbottabad and other districts.
