Egypt’s Moustafa El Sirty wins 15th CNS Int’l Squash Championship

Egyptian Moustafa El Sirty Saturday defeated Hong Kong’s Yip Tsz Fung in the final to win the 15th Chief of Day Navy Staff National International Squash Championship by, reported 24NewsHD TV.

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Ajmad Khan Niazi along with former World Champion Jahangir Khan and Commander Karachi were the special guest for the final who distributed the prizes among the winner and the runner-up.

Both the players displayed quality squash and it was a close encounter as Egyptian El Sirty overcame a stubborn challenge of Fung in five sets, winning the match 5-2.

Hong Kong’s Yip Tsz Fung made comeback twice in the match after El Sirty took the lead but faltered in the end. The first set of the match was won by the Egyptian star player, while the second set was won by Hong Kong’s Yip Tsz Fung. Egyptian El Sirty won the third set but Fung bounced back again in the fourth to level the match.

However, El Sirty came victorious in the final and deciding set to win the title.

On the occasion of the final ceremony of the event, the Chief of Naval Staff Amjad Khan Niazi said that Pak-Navy has always played its role to contribute in the field of sports.

He added that it was a great sign that foreign players are touring Pakistan to participate in the championship.

Chief of Naval Staff Amjad Khan has promised to organize more sporting events like this in the future.
