A colourful Holi and Eid Milan event was organised in Karachi by the Pakistan Hindu Council, bringing together people from various communities to celebrate unity, diversity, and interfaith harmony, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.

According to the report, a large number of Hindu citizens attended the event and celebrated Holi by dancing to traditional songs and smearing each other’s faces with vibrant colours, creating an atmosphere of joy and festivity.

Speaking to the media, Pakistan People’s Party leader and Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani said, “It feels great to be here. I’m happy to see both the Hindu community’s Holi and the Muslim community’s Eid being celebrated together.”

PPP MNA Dr Ramesh Kumar, a prominent advocate for minority rights, also extended his greetings for both Holi and Eid, adding, “Since Holi fell during the month of Ramadan this year, we decided to celebrate it together with Eid.”

Women attending the event also expressed their delight, saying that such celebrations with people from different communities coming together reflected the true spirit of Pakistan, and this tradition should continue in the future.

A unique feature of the event was a dance competition between men and women who performed separately to traditional Holi songs, adding to the excitement of the evening.
