A polio officer was kidnapped by unidentified men in the Birmil tehsil of Lower South Waziristan on Monday.
The motive behind the kidnapping of Jan Muhammad Wazir remains unclear, as no group has claimed responsibility, nor has there been any demand for ransom so far.
Family of the abductee has appealed to the government and concerned authorities for the safe and swift recovery of their loved one, urging that the perpetrators be brought to justice and write of the state be ensured.
