Noted architect Aziz Ashai, known as Tony Ashai, designed the masterplan the Namal Knowledge City that will house the schools of science and engineering, school of medicine, school of business, school of humanities, school of agribusiness and a technology park.
Established as a college in 2008 in Mianwali, it achieved the degree-awarding institute status in 2019. Addressing the 7th convocation in February 2020, Imran said once he expressed his desire to launch the project, critics called it an ‘impossible’ job.
