PM Imran Khan launches Ehsaas Riayat Rashan Program

Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday inaugurated Ehsaas Riayat Rashan Program in Islamabad on the completion of three years of the government's flagship Ehsaas program, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
PM Imran Khan praised Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation Sania Nishtar for her ‘outstanding’ performance.
He said that it was the responsibility of the state to uplift the underprivileged and marginalized strata of society.
Imran Khan said that only a humanitarian can feel for the poor. He vowed to continue Ehsaas program for the upliftment of the downtrodden strata of the society.
Under the Prime Minister's vision of poverty alleviation, 30 percent monthly subsidy will be provided to 20 million families on daily use items.
The targeted subsidy programme will effectively lower the price of essential commodities like wheat flour, cooking oil, ghee and pulses.
Under the programme, 106 billion rupees will be spent on provision of subsidies to 20 million eligible families.
The Kafalat Cash Assistance Program worth 71 billion rupees will also be started under Ehsaas Kafalat Scheme.
Dr. Sania Nishter said that Prime Minister Imran Khan increased the monthly Ehsaas cash to deserving families from Rs 12,000 to Rs 14,000.
