Supporters of PPP, independent contestant clash during Hyderabad poll

A clash occurred between supporters of the Pakistan Peoples Party and an independent candidate Sunday during the Local Government by-polls in UC 119 in Hyderabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
An incident of misconduct was reported in UC 119 during the LG by-elections. The supporters of the PPP and an independent candidate scuffled with each other and ransacked the polling station. They also tortured the staff at polling station.
They also damaged the election material as they came to blows.
After the fight, the polling was stopped at UC 119.
The clash occurred at a women's polling station.
In another fight between political workers of different parties, several people got injured at a polling station in Rashidabad in UC 13.
A tense situation was also witnessed during the by-polls in UC 11 in Bahar Colony, Lyari.
The workers of different political parties took an aggressive position against each other at a polling station set up in UC 11 at Government Girls School, Lyari.
The clash started over the matter of sending the polling agent out of the polling station.
Police immediately rushed to the place and ended the row.
