Authorities have barred tourists from visiting Babusar Top as roadblocks follow heavy snowfall.
Tourists can visit Naran as the local administration announced closing down the tourist spot because of heavy snowfall and asked the people wanting to go Gilgit via Babusar Top go for the main road instead of Naran Road.
After the first spell of snowfall a couple of weeks ago, the admin put a bar on vehicular traffic and issued directives to allow tourists to use Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad (MNJ) road and divert the GB traffic to KKH. Reportedly, Babusar Top received more than six inches snow, while on the hills four inches of snowfall was recorded. The KP government has been trying to promote winter tourism and this year most of the hotels of Naran, Kaghan, and Shogran are open for tourists despite temperatures dropped to zero.
