The University of Health Sciences (UHS) is set to conduct the admission process for private medical and dental colleges too, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
In mid-October, the university will officially open its doors for students intending to get admission to public as well as private sector medical and dental colleges.
The report added that in alignment with the Punjab government's admission policy, UHS will centralize the admissions process. This means that students and their parents will no longer be required to submit separate applications for each college.
Instead, a single online portal will enable aspirants to apply to all colleges of their choice seamlessly.
UHS VC Dr. Waheed Rathore said that the university is committed to upholding merit-based admissions and ensuring transparency throughout the process.
Applicants will have the unique opportunity to apply to both government and private medical colleges at the same time, offering them greater flexibility in choosing their preferred institution, he added.
For the convenience of applicants, a nominal admission processing fee of Rs 2000 has been set for both government and private medical and dental colleges.
UHS has issued comprehensive guidelines for aspiring students regarding the preparation of necessary documents for admission. These guidelines are available on the UHS website, www.uhs.edu.pk.
