Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday while strongly condemning the attack took place in Karachi on Sunday night killing two Chinese nationals and injuring another, said the perpetrators of this dastardly incident could not be Pakistanis but were the sworn enemies of Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Expressing his deep shock and sadness over the incident, the prime minister offered his heartfelt condolences to the leadership and the people of China, particularly the families of the victims.
Shehbaz Sharif, in a statement on his X timeline, also prayed for the early recovery of the injured.
The prime minister said that an immediate investigation was underway to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice. “Pakistan stands committed to safeguarding our Chinese friends. We will leave no stone unturned to ensure their security and well-being,” he assured.
Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemns Karachi blast
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has strongly condemned death of two Chinese citizens in Karachi blast on Sunday night.
Mohsin Naqvi also expressed his sympathies to the families of deceased Chinese citizens and injured persons. He also prayed to Almighty Allah for speedy recovery of injured persons.
In his condolence message to the families of dead and injured persons on Monday, the minister said that he is with the families in this hour of grief and sorrow.
He assured families of deceased and injured persons that Government of Pakistan will use all available resources to nab the planners and their facilitators who committed this heinous crime.
He said that there is conspiracy to destroy exemplary friendship between Pakistan and China but all these attempts will be foiled.
FO strongly condemns Karachi attack
Pakistan on Monday strongly condemned the heinous terrorist attack near Karachi Airport took place on Sunday night killing two Chinese engineers and injuring another, and assured to bring the perpetrators to justice.
“This deplorable act of terrorism is an attack not only on Pakistan but also on the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China…We remain resolute in bringing to justice those responsible for this cowardly attack, including the Majeed Brigade,” Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in a statement issued in Islamabad on Monday morning.
She said that Pakistan’s security and law enforcement agencies would spare no effort in apprehending the perpetrators and their facilitators. “This barbaric act will not go unpunished,” she assured.
The spokesperson extended deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims, both Chinese and Pakistani, and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.
She said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was in close contact with the Chinese Embassy for coordination and facilitation.
She said that Pakistan and China were close partners and iron-brothers, united by a bond of mutual respect and shared destiny.
“Pakistan reaffirms it’s unwavering commitment to the safety and security of Chinese nationals, projects, and institutions in Pakistan, and will continue to work hand in hand with our Chinese brothers to defeat the forces of terror,” the spokesperson reiterated.
