Babar Azam ‘unhappy’ with team selection by Rameez Raja

National cricket team captain Skipper Babar Azam is unhappy over the selection of team for T20 World Cup as he was not taken into confidence regarding selection of Azam Khan and Sohaib Maqsood, reported 24NewHD TV channel on Tuesday, quoting sources.
The sources claimed that PCB Chief Selector Muhammad Waseem added both players to the squad on the advice of nominated PCB chairman Rameez Raja.
Well-placed sources said Babar Azam wanted to include Faheem Ashraf and Fakhar Zaman in the team.

It is pertinent to note that there were reports of differences between the captain and the chief selector on selection issues in the past. After this development, changes were expected in the national squad for the T20 World Cup.
However, Pakistan still can alter its national squad till October 10.

On the other hand, there were also reports that after the departure of Misbahul-ul-Haq and Waqar Younis, preparations were under way to show the door to the batting and fielding coaches as well.
In a shocking development earlier on Monday, Pakistan cricket received a major shock as their head coach Misbah-ul-Haq and bowling coach Waqar Younis resigned from their positions effective immediately at times when the 2021 T20 World Cup is a little over a month away.
