Prices are hot as Mahira Khan turns sales girl for her brand

April 8, 2023 04:58 PM

Superstar Mahira Khan has lately decided to show off her entrepreneurship skills by starting her own fashion line known as ‘M by Mahira’, an initiative to bring back ‘simple white kurtas’ in fashion.

The diva has taken to her Instagram handle in order to share the latest set of pictures and videos, for promotional purposes of her latest Eid collection.

The 38-year-old showbiz star can be seen marvelously carrying a breathtaking yet very plain black saree from the latest collection of her own fashion brand.

Here is the caption of Mahira Khan’s latest outfit post: “Aaah how could I not have a sari this time. Named after my bari phopo Surraiya. She was my entire childhood. She fed me and loved me like the daughter she didn’t have. I love you my surrrii phopo.”

Mahira Khan is considered to be one of the most accomplished stars of Pakistan and the actress gained even more appreciation after she starred opposite Bollywood legend Shahrukh Khan in the movie ‘Raees’.

Seems like the public figure has no plans to slow down as Mahira’s latest film ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ has managed to garner outstanding fame.

Even though Mahira Khan’s clothing line, when it was first introduced, garnered a lot of negative feedback due to the very high price point for such simple white ‘kurtas’, this particular saree however is super stunning (but also super simple) and has been dedicated by Mahira to her cousin, here is what Mahira Khan has lately stated: “This one is for my Dadi’s only other poti Sana. My ‘LA’ cousin as all my friends used to call her. Exciting times when they all would come for the winters. We have discovered each other again as adults and oh the joy. She’s cool, calm, kind… and so much fun. I miss you can’t wait to see you.”

An embroidered ivory dupatta featured in one of the collections over Mahira’s clothing line’s official website, is for Rs3,500 and quite appallingly this is the cheapest article from the line.

Her silk tunic set has been priced at a whopping Rs24,950.

A netizen has stated: “Mahira Khan selling a plain white linen kurta for Rs13,000? And it's already sold out? Why? How? Who?”

“My next collection is dedicated to my dadi Sultana Jahaan Begum. Every piece of clothing named after her daughters and grand-daughters.

This one is Seeema, named after my younger phopo. She was my home away from home when I lived in LA. She is equal parts brave and kind. My Seema phopo. I love you so much.” One of the captions Mahira Khan devised in regards to items featured in one of the collections of her fashion brand.
