Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team Head Coach Mohammad Wasim has expressed satisfaction over the team’s preparations for the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers, stating that he is hopeful of securing a place among the top two to qualify for the World Cup, the 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Tuesday.
Speaking to the media, Wasim said the warm-up matches proved beneficial and allowed the team management to finalise combinations for the qualifiers. "We are content with how the team is shaping up. Victory always boosts confidence, and we want the players to carry this momentum into the qualifiers,” he stated.
Mohammad Wasim added that the 50-over format suits the current squad and that stability in the batting lineup is becoming more visible. “Our bowlers, both pacers and spinners, are in rhythm. Bowling has always been our strength, and now our batters are also showing a good response,” he said confidently.
He further emphasised that while teams like the West Indies and Bangladesh pose strong challenges, the Pakistan team is aiming for consistency throughout the tournament. “We expect positive results in the World Cup qualifiers,” the coach concluded.
