Rana Sana advises Imran Khan to engage in talks with govt

PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah has said that political negotiations remain the only viable path forward, therefore PTI founder Imran Khan should not resist any engagement with the government. 

Talking to a private TV channel, the former interior minister stressed that the country’s political crisis could only be resolved at the negotiating table. “The way out can only be through political negotiations,” he said. “But the founder of PTI is not ready to sit with the opposition political leadership. Ultimately, the matter will be settled at the negotiating table.”

Rana Sana, an adviser to the prime minister, added that the establishment would have no objections if such a political dialogue were to take place.  “If they [PTI] sit at the table, the establishment will not have any objection,” he remarked, suggesting that the political space for reconciliation exists but has not yet been utilised. 

In a potentially significant revelation, Rana Sana also disclosed that the arrival of several Pakistanis from abroad had been noted recently. He hinted at the possibility that they may have held meetings with the incarcerated PTI founder.
