Army’s rescue teams were called in to help the civil administration on Friday as rain continued to lash Karachi, the city of lights.
Pakistan Army’s rescue teams are now carrying out relief activities in the worst hit areas with the help of dewatering pumps and other relief machinery. Rainwater is being drained in low-lying areas of the city first and stranded people are being shifted to safer places. More rescue teams have been put on alert to deal with an urban flooding like situation in the coming hours.
