CEC satisfied with poll preparations

Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja has expressed satisfaction with the poll preparations, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.  

The commission secretary and members attended the meeting which was briefed about the election arrangements.

The process of delivery of all election materials including ballot papers will be completed by tonight, the huddle was told.

The CEC directed the provincial election commissioners to be on alert on polling day.

Earlier, the chief election commissioner directed chief secretaries and IGs of all four provinces to step up security.

He urged them to complete the appointment of security personnel as soon as possible to ensure the safety of the voters, DROs and ROs.

The CEC condemned the recent wave of terrorism in Balochistan. He issued directives to step up efforts to ensure peaceful polls.
