Hafizabad police registered a case against the district vice president of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) over theft of a few sacks of rice, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

It is learnt that the police have also expelled PPP district vice president Karam Dad Bhatti and his family from the district.

Karam Dad Bhatti alleged that the police broke the doors of his house and arrested his brother and servants.

He said that he had been granted bail by the Lahore High Court (LHC), but the police were threatening to arrest him upon entry into the district.

He demanded that Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari take notice of it.
