Once the title holders of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Quetta Gladiators are currently at the bottom of PSL 8 points table with four points.

The team have played eight matches so far and remained victorious in only two of them.

Both of their victories were against Karachi Kings. The successive defeats in PSL 8 have made their entry into the playoffs difficult.

However, there are still two scenarios that can help Quetta Gladiators make their way into the playoffs.

It is to be noted here that luck will have to favour the team unconditionally in these scenarios.

First, if Quetta Gladiators win both of their matches against Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans and hope for Peshawar to lose all of their remaining matches.

Or, if Quetta Gladiators win both matches while Peshawar Zalmi win one more match and lose two other matches. In this case, both the teams will be tied with eight points.

Second, if Quetta Gladiators beat Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans, and Peshawar Zalmi also beat Multan Sultans but lose to Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars, and Multan Sultans lose all the remaining three games against Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United, the three teams will have eight points each.
