Tourist families left stranded in hilly Kohistan after landslide on Karakoram Highway

Amid heavy landslides, the Karakoram Highway got closed for all sort of traffic near Samar Nullah in Upper Kohistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Police said long lines of vehicles can be seen which have been stuck on both sides of landslide while families stranded on the sites were appealing for rescue and relief operations.

However, the relief activities on the sites could not be started yet. Families trapped on the highway have appealed the concerned authorities to start rescue and relief actives.
