Rickshaw Manufacturers Association president calls on Parvaiz Elahi

Acting Governor Punjab Chaudhry Parvaiz Elahi met with Rickshaw Manufacturers Association President Mian Asad Hameed, reported 24News HD TV channel on Friday.
On the occasion, Mian Asad explained the problems faced by the rickshaw industry.
Chaudhary Parvaiz Elahi said raising the rickshaw manufacturer's fee from Rs10,000 to Rs1million would increase unemployment. He said don't put rickshaw drivers on the Ehsas program and let them earn it themselves.
He said the government should immediately withdraw the increase in fees. He said instead of giving jobs to the poor, they are being deprived of jobs.
Parvaiz Elahi said the rickshaw the rickshaws were the source of employment for the working class, adding that the use of rickshaws was high in rural areas due to lack of employment opportunities. The many folds increase in manufacturing fees will lead to a sharp increase in poverty, he said.
Mian Asad Hameed said the rickshaw registration process stopped due to an increase in fees causing unemployment of millions of people.
