Chinese national injured in Faisalabad factory blast

An explosion rocked an explosives factory in Rajua Sadat, located in the Chiniot Police jurisdiction of Faisalabad, injuring two individuals, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Wednesday.

According to sources, the injured include a Chinese national and a Pakistani worker. 

The Chinese citizen, identified as 50-year-old Mr Kang, suffered burns on 18% of his body and was immediately shifted to Allied Hospital-1 Faisalabad, where he is under treatment in the surgical emergency ward.

Following the blast, a heavy police contingent was deployed at the hospital's surgical emergency for security. Authorities are yet to disclose the cause of the explosion as further inquiries are underway.
