The ICC Women's Cricket World Cup qualifier tournament was kicked off as Ireland decided to bat first against Pakistan in the opening match at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
During the first day, two matches will be played. The second match will be played between Scotland and the West Indies in Gaddafi Stadium.
All cricket fans will be allowed to watch the matches without any charges. Pakistan’s opener Gul Feroza made her debut in the match.
Gul Feroze belonged to Multan. Head Coach Mohammad Waseem presented the debut cap to Gul Feroza.
The management and cricket players congratulated Gul Feroze on the start of her one-day international career.
Gul Feroze also thanked them for extending best wishes to her. Gul Feroze is a physiology student and currently studying at Punjab University.
Prior to this, Gul Feroze represented Pakistan in a T20 international series.
