Leaders of the factions of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Monday held a joint meeting with Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori to discuss the issue of Local Government elections in Karachi and Hyderabad.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, MQM-Pakistan Convenor Khalid Maqbool Saddiqui, MQM Rabta Tanzeem head Farooq Sattar, Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) chief Mustafa Kamal, former Mayor of Karachi and other MQM Rabta Committee members present in the meeting.
The leaders of the different factions of the MQM expressed their reservations over the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan regarding the local body elections next week on January 15.
As per the channel report, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori assured the MQM leaders to talk to the federal government in this regard.
