The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has allowed the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) to give 300,000 new connections to gas consumers.
According to sources, 45,000 of these connections would be given in the Lahore Region.
The SNGPL had stopped issuing demand notices for new connections two months ago after the quota for new gas connection was filled to capacity.
After approval of new connections, people will be now able to have new fast track and normal demand notices issued for new gas metres.
Earlier, the Lahore region was allowed to give gas consumers 59,000 new connections.
