Ombudsman seeks CCTV footage in bank manager sexual harassment case

Federal Ombudsman for Protection against Harassment at Workplace Kashmala Tariq has summoned the president of a private bank on November 13 over sexual harassment of a woman employee by a bank manager.
She has also directed the bank to submit CCTV footage of the premises from October 1 to November 9, 2020, and an Internal Harassment Committee Report.
She said that F-10 Branch Manager Usman Gohar can be seen harassing a woman colleague in the video, which is viral on social media.
Federal Ombudsman Secretariat Registrar Rehman Shahzad issued the notice on a complaint filed by Islamabad High Court lawyer Jawad Khursheed.

Islamabad Police on Saturday arrested the accused bank manager after he was caught on camera sexually harassing a woman colleague and the video went viral on social media.
He was also dismissed from service by the bank after his harassment video spread on social media like a fire.
