Hundreds more fall prey to dengue

Dengue virus fever continued to infect people across Punjab, Islamabad, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours (Friday), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Punjab Health Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch said that another 222 cases were reported from Lahore taking the tally to 2,708 and 173 patients are being treated in Lahore hospitals.

In Islamabad, 64 people were infected with the deadly dengue virus and a number of people are still admitted to Islamabad hospitals.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, another 304 cases were reported in last 24 hours. Currently, 247 patients are being treated in the KP hospitals. So far four people lost their lives against the dengue virus in KP.
