Snowfall in KP, GB; major highways closed

Several roads were closed due to the first snowfall of the season in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan regions

According to the local admin, the Chilas, Babusar and Naran roads have been closed for all kinds of traffic

The administration closed the roads due to heavy snowfall and the process of clearing snow is also in progress.

The decision has been taken for the safety of passengers and drivers, the admin said, adding that driving in heavy snow may be dangerous.

Heavy snowfall reduces visibility and may cause accidents.  The management is carefully reviewing the situation

The administration says that passengers should stay updated on the situation before embarking on any journey
