Federal minister fined for breaking election rules

The Election Commission of Pakistan on Friday imposed Rs25,000 fine on Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain for violating poll code, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Reportedly, the district monitoring officer of NA-118 Nankana Sahib issued a notification regarding violation of election code to the minister on Sept 5. 

According to the notice, Mr Hussain participated in an election campaign of a candidate in violation of the poll rules on which the monitoring officer imposed a fine to the tune of Rs25,000 on the minister.
