An interesting situation has been witnessed in Buffa city of Mansehra district where Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (Parliamentarian) is holding its first worker convention, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The citizens of the areas hanged “Lotas” in every nook and corner of the city to greet the PTI-P leaders.

Lotas are a traditional political term to refer to the turncoats of a political party.

PTI-P was recently established by the former PTI members in KP who changed their loyalties after a countrywide crackdown was initiated against the former ruling party in the province as well as the center in the wake of the infamous May 9 riots.

PTI has a stronghold in the KP province where it has ruled for last nine years and has a strong vote bank.

Irked by the PTI’s disgruntled group led by former chief minister Pervez Khattak and Mehmood Khan, the residents showed their anger by hanging Lotas on the eve of PTI-P’s first worker convention to reject them and show solidarity with Imran Khan-led main party.

Mansehra Workers Convention was organized by former MNA Saleh Mohammad Khan.
