Govt starts online payment service for passport-seeking Karachites

The federal government has started an online payment service for passport seekers from Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
It remains a good experience for passport seekers as they will not need to stand in long bank lines and can pay the passport fee using their smartphones. Besides Karachi, this service is already available in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Lahore.
In this service, passport seekers can pay passport fees using a phone application ‘Passport Asaan Fee’, an online portal. It is a digital initiative for the facilitation of the People by the ministry of interior. ‘Passport Fee Asaan’ helps its users in Passport Fee Calculation and Payment process. Citizens can download an app called Passport Fee Easy from the Google Play Store for online fee payment. Fees can be paid through the app via bank account, ATM, Jazz cash, Easy Paisa, and One Link.
On the second of its service in Karachi, many applicants visiting the three passport offices of Karachi paid the fee online through the mobile app and web portal.
Banners have been displayed at passport offices and respective national bank branches to guide the applicants. Be careful, online fee payment is non-refundable and non-transferable
