Pyar Ke Sadqay has been one of the favourites of this season so far, and the latest episode stretched the story a little further.
The 12th episode started as Washma (Shra Asghar) took Mahjabeen (Yumna Zaidi) to the salon as she plans to groom Mahjabeen into a sober young lady who is perfect for the stature of their household.
Later, Sarwar (Omair Rana) asks Abdullah (Bilal Abbas Khan) regarding his plans for Shanzay’s (Yashma Gill) wedding to which he is invited.
Abdullah tells him that he is planning on going and that’s when the evil stepdad again starts to play with his feelings and tries to remind Abdullah of his insecurities and weaknesses.
The moment when Abdullah looks at Sarwar and then looks forward with his chin up and stutters ‘I'm Happy’, one loathes Sarwar even more.
When Mahjabeen receives him at the gate after he comes back from office, she expects some acknowledgement from her husband since she had a makeover.
Whereas Abdullah, who is feeling down under the burden of insults by his stepdad, fails to make eye contact with her and leaves after sheepishly looking at Sarwar. Mahjabeen tries to get Abdullah’s attention, but he seems to get annoyed by it and asks her to let him sleep.
Bilal Abbas Khan has outdone himself in each of the scenes, and it would be fair to say that he stands out with his performance.
Later on, when Abdullah and Mahjabeen were leaving for the mall, Sarwar makes a successful attempt to sabotage their relationship and takes Mahjabeen for shopping.
Abdullah is so far falling prey to his step father’s ugly intentions. One can’t help but wow at Khan's acting skills.
He sure is a dynamic actor and knows his job. From an extremely cunning Wajeeh in Cheekh to this bawla Abdullah in Pyar Ke Sadqay, he did nothing else but impressed the viewers.
After Sarwar leaves with his wife, Abdullah goes to see his sister and Phuppo. Washma instantly figures out the reason behind the mess.
Phuppo tried to explain to Abdullah how important it is for himself and his relationship to be happy and show it to Shanzay.
During this whole conversation, the subtle transformation of Khan’s expressions and his continually changing body language as he reacts to what Phuppo is telling him can't get any more real; one might think that the actor is feeling every single word. Their conversations are always a treat to watch.
The episode ends with a gratifying scene where Washma welcomes her brother and stepdad home and presents a very elegantly dressed Mahjabeen who is all dolled up to go with her husband. We were all smiles after seeing that endearing grin on Abdullah’s face that was the cutest highlight of the latest episode.
