Construction of police’s residential apartments in Lahore near completion

Another project, which had been pending for the last several years, is now near completion courtesy the efforts being made by Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The chief minister visited Qurban Lines in Lahore late Tuesday night and ordered the completion of three floors of the residential apartments being built for policemen by January 31.
He went round different portions of the under-construction building and watched the work being done there.
He, especially, took great interest in the woodwork being done at the site.
He also met with the labourers, shook hands with them and appreciated them for working till late at night.
The CM directed that the work be completed as early as possible and without compromising on quality.
He also gave instructions to plant trees on the lawn in front of the apartments.
Giving briefing to the chief minister about the progress made on the project so far, the secretary construction and communication said that a six-storey building would house 24 apartments. “There will be two elevators in the building as well,” he informed.
Punjab IGP, DIG telecommunication, additional IG development and other concerned officials were also present on the occasion.
CM Naqvi visits GOR
The chief minister also visited the GOR late at night and watched the building reserved for housing new commissioner’s office.
He went round different rooms of the structure as well as its backyard, the mosque and the roof.
Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali Randhawa, on the occasion, briefed the CM about renovation of the building.
The chief minister directed that the renovations be completed within 14 days.
